Job Summary
Licensed Professional Counselor OR Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
We are looking to add a compassionate and knowledgeable clinical counselor to our growing multi-disciplinary private practice. We are looking for an individual who specializes in working with both adults as well as children and their families through difficult diagnoses and experiences, including:
depression and anxiety
learning difficulties
behavioral concerns
suspected/diagnosed ASD or ADHD
psychological problems
traumatic experiences
avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder
Responsibilities
accept children and their families through self-referral and referrals from other professionals
assess each client and their individual needs
determine a course of therapeutic treatment
provide therapeutic interventions to children, caregivers, and families as appropriate for client success
build up a relationship of trust with children and their parents/caregivers
create a safe and stable environment in which children can express themselves through play
review therapeutic interventions on a regular basis
work as part of a multidisciplinary team with other healthcare professionals
develop, plan, and execute parenting courses as needed in the practice
License/Certification:
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) - Supervision Experience is a Plus
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Registered Play Therapist (RPT) - Preferred
